It is each team’s responsibility to report any pitching violations by informing the umpire and filing a protest with the League or Tournament Director.
A protest must be submitted immediately after the violating pitcher records an out beyond their allowed limit and while they are still in the game.
If the violation occurs on the last recorded out of the game, the protest must be filed before the umpire and protesting team leave the field.
Penalty: Any violation results in the immediate forfeiture of the game.
Pitch Counts: In major events, pitch count limits may be used if approved by the Tournament Director.
Mound Visits: Each team is allowed two (2) coaching visits per inning to the mound. If a coach visits the same pitcher twice in the same inning, the pitcher must be replaced.
Pitching to a Batter: A pitcher must continue pitching to a batter until one of the following occurs:
The batter is out
The batter reaches first base
The inning ends
If a pitcher starts an inning, they must face at least one batter until that batter reaches base or is retired.
Injury Exception: If a pitcher is injured, the umpire has the discretion to determine whether they must continue pitching to the batter or not.
The last batter from the previous inning will be placed on second base.
The inning will begin with one out.
The last three batters from the previous inning will be placed on base as follows:
Last hitter from the previous inning → First base
Hitter before them in the lineup → Second base
Hitter before that in the lineup → Third base
Normal substitution rules apply to these base runners.
Play will continue until one team leads at the end of an inning.
