This is a 4 Game Guaranteed Event

Essential you will have 4 pool games with home and away preassigned.  Top two teams from each division with battle for title of Champeen or Not First!

All pool games are drop dead play. This mean we will revert to previous innings score if and inning is not completed.

Championship games are timed but not drop dead.  We will finish the inning or go into Showdown if there is a tie when time expires.

When do I pay the tournament entry fee? 
All Premier Prospects tournaments are first pay/first play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the entry fee or the gate fee. The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size. If you choose to mail a check to avoid online credit card fees please call us and let us know, do not leave a message!

Do we supply our own baseballs? 
Yes, Coaches are responsible for providing game balls

Typical baseball rules are followed for this tournament for regular baseball play, however, please see this link for specific Banana Bash Rules


We play all 13u events at 54/80 unless otherwise noted
We do not allow metal cleats on any turf fields or temporary mounds.

Awards
All Champeens and Not First teams receive Rings.

MVPs receive Rings

All Brackets receive team Championship Banner


How do I submit a schedule request?
Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event. You can block out a 4 hour block on Friday or Saturday that you cannot play only! Schedule request that are more restrictive than a 4 hour "no play" block will be difficult to accommodate but we will do our best!.
Example of a schedule request we will accept: We cannot play between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.
Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating: We cannot play before 4pm.
Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening, we will do our best to accommodate request.

Can we bring outside food and coolers?
Yes, participants and fans are allowed to bring outside food and coolers excluding alcohol, but this is park to park. Some parks may not allow them. 

Can we bring our pets or comfort animals to the tournament?
NO, you will be asked to leave the premises if you bring pets to a PPS event regardless of the facilities policies. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME!

Emotional Support animals are not Service dogs and are not permitted in the playing areas.


When are our rosters locked and what do I do if a parents forgets/neglects to sign the waiver prior to the cutoff?
All rosters are locked on the Thursday evening prior to the event. All players must be listed on the public view teams page by the cutoff. Players that do not have signed waivers by the cutoff are not eligible to play! 

Behavior at the events
PPS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official or umpire. 

Where will we play? 
PPS utilizes full turf, half turf, grass and skinned fields in and around the listed locations

Do I need team insurance?
Yes, if you did not buy your policy through Premier Prospects Sports you must add PPS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. We must receive your insurance by the Thursday prior to the event. Insurance must be uploaded prior to Friday at 2pm or you will be removed from the event. PPS only accepts PDF format.

Howdy Coach!


We are excited to have you registered for the 3rd Annual Texas Banana Bash.  This baseball tournament will be played "Savannah Banana" style.  Our rules are modified slightly for certain age divisions and that can all be found attached to this email as well as on the registration page at this link.  


First, 


All games will take place at Bombers Field, Travis Fields, and Harvey Little League Fields in Bryan Texas.


Direct all your coaches and parents to join our facebook group also at Texas Banana Bash Tournaments Facebook Group we will update lots of info here.  Tournament apparel ordering as well as vendors that will be present etc.  We will also post photos here from the tournament.

Games will be slightly shorter than typical tournaments due to the nature of the game.  Our tournament will consist of 4 "pool play" games and a championship game for the top 2 finishers in each division.  


To Do List for Coaches:

  • Insurance will be uploaded to Playbook365 where you register.  

  • In lue of a per person gate fee we will charge a team gate of $150.  This will be paid via Zelle at bvbaseball979@gmail.com (please indicate team and division)

  • KNOW THE RULES Christmas Banana Bash Rules!!! I will also have a ZOOM meeting cover rules and have a questions answer session!

  • Work on your dance moves!

Hotels

3rd Annual Texas Banana Bash is a stay to play tournament.  At least 7 rooms from each team who is located 60 miles or further must meet the stay to play requirement.

The Banana Bash tournament is a stay to Play tournament. In order to participate in the tournament, all teams are required to book their lodging through our housing partner, Team Travel Source (TTS). Any reservations booked through a third party provider (i.e. hotels.com, Expedia, Hotwire, etc.), booked directly with the property, or through any method other than through Team Travel Source, will NOT fulfill the lodging requirement.
